Mitta 2018 – in review
Mitta Mitta seems a long way to go for a rally from Melbourne in Victoria, given that most events are within two hours drive from the Victorian capital. The situation is different for NSW competitors who are used to longer travel distances to forests on their south and north coasts.
Mitta is now into its fourth year, and we reckon it has proven to be a rewarding weekend with different challenging roads, great scenery and small town country hospitality, and so well worth the trip. You are guaranteed to have a good time.
Here are some reviews from competitors responding to the 2018 post event competitor survey:
On the roadbook:
“Best road book I have used. Perfect, keep up the great work”
“Most accurate road book I have seen in years”
On the stages:
“Loved them all really. Some of the best roads I have competed on”
“The roads were fantastic”
“The right mix of technical and fast roads”
What they liked about the event in general:
“Competitor engagement, fantastic service location and facility, also encouragement for all to stick around and share a post event drink. Great family rally atmosphere”
“Central service park, pub after party, and point of difference with long stages and no repeats”
“The location is brilliant, and running on the Saturday followed by the presentation in the pub is great. Having the rally return to the service park twice is great for service crews and spectators”
“The long stages are a feature. Service/HQ excellent. Realistic section times meant no need to hurry on liaisons-good for all”
“The social pub night is popular as is the transport provided to Dartmouth”
“The area, the Mitta Mitta area is absolutely beautiful scenery”
