Mitta Mountain Rally Returns for 2018
The Border Oils and Batteries Mitta Mountain Rally returns to the rally calendar in 2018, with the third running of the event to be held on Saturday, May 5th.
The rally is a round of the Victorian and NSW Rally Championships, incorporating the Mitta Masters – a Multi Club Event for classic cars and competitors.
It will also be a round of the new-for-2018 East Coast Classic Rally series.
Based out of the township of Mitta Mitta in the north east of Victoria, the event will offer crews 130-140km of competition over five blind stages, on twisty mountain roads.
All roads have been graded in the past 12 months, meaning conditions should be better than ever.
The Border Oils and Batteries Mitta Mountain Rally is being organised jointly by the North Eastern Car Club and Albury Wodonga and Districts Car Club.
Competition will start at 8.00am on Saturday, May 5, allowing for results to be finalised on the day and presentations held that night.
Accommodation in the area will be tight, but the organisers have booked all they can. To make a booking, get in touch with Accommodation Co-ordinator Geoff Dunlop on 0473 017 492 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and find what suits you best .
Further information on the event will be released over the coming weeks, or keep up to date at www.northeasterncarclub.com.au/mitta-mountain-rally or on Facebook via the Mitta Mountain Rally page.
The organising team has evolved in 2018, and now includes:
